Aspen Medical’s contract to provide complete healthcare services to the Australian Defence Force in Timor Leste as part of Operation Astute will continue until June 2014.
Aspen Medical has been the healthcare subcontractor since the start of the contract in 2006.
Aspen Medical has drawn on its international experience, from the Solomon Islands to the UK and the US, to provide the highest level of healthcare support in Timor Leste.
Aspen Medical designed the healthcare facility, selected all the necessary equipment and provides not only all the staff, but all the clinical governance and personnel credentialing to support the Timor Leste operation.
The health services provided range from primary care, to diagnostics (such as radiology and pathology) to dental, ward care, emergency care and surgery.
