Chief of the Royal Australian Navy, Vice-Admiral Tim Barrett was welcomed to the Austal stand at IMDEX Asia 2015 held last week in Singapore by Marketing Manager, Paul Sparke.
The CN was told of the strong interest amongst visiting naval delegations from around the world, shown in Austal’s Australian-made naval vessels, which includes the 58m Cape Class Patrol Boat and 72m High Speed Support Vessel, as well as the US-constructed Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) and the Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV).
Mr Sparke commented that the recent corporate successes of Austal have seen it grow from a small Western Australian company to one with over 650 Australian staff, and over 5,000 worldwide, with global turnover of around $1Bn p.a. and these successes had been widely noted, both in Australia and overseas.
