On 1 July 2010, Intercast & Forge's automotive foundry at Seven Hills commenced trading as Broens Autocast & Forge, after having been acquired by the Broens Group.

The two organisations are substantial concerns with a combined 72 years in business.

Intercast & Forge's personnel at takeover numbered approximately 140 and Broens Group employs around 180 people including personnel located at its headquarters in Ingleburn and at its subsidiaries, Static Engineering and Calbic Precision Engineers, in Adelaide.

The acquisition of Intercast & Forge's Seven Hills operations by Broens Group has received support and assistance from both the Federal and NSW governments.

The acquisition prevented the closure of Australia's only privately owned high-volume automotive products foundry.
