This partnership provides manufacturers with complex engineered or made-to-order products: a solution that features intelligent, role-based operations management combined with proven lean execution.
"We believe this combination will provide our customers with the operational efficiencies required to meet the unique challenges facing manufacturers today," Jerry Miller, Director of Cincom's Manufacturing Business Solutions Division, said.
"Ultriva's Electronic Kanban and other lean manufacturing solutions have been working synergistically at Cincom customers over the years," Narayan Laksham, CEO of Ultriva, said.
"By formalising this business relationship, we can enhance the value to our customers with a pre-packaged, tightly integrated solution."
According to a 2009 research report commissioned by Cincom Systems, lean manufacturing is lacking in the aerospace and defence industry.
Only 23 per cent of A&D manufacturers surveyed had implemented demand-driven manufacturing tactics such as electronic Kanban, lean manufacturing techniques and shared business processes.
Cincom is exhibiting its Enterprise Business Solutions at Pacific 2010, at stand 6F8, Hall 6, in the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre from 27 to 29 January.
The latest version of Cincom CONTROLTM Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) will be available in late 2010.
