The Defence Industry Innovation Centre (DIIC) is funding a defence business development workshop on Tuesday August 9 in Sydney.
Facilitated by four of the principals of Melbourne defence consultancy AADI Pty Ltd, the event is designed to be a practical, hands-on workshop to help local firms win Defence contracts in their own right, or as a subcontractor.
The event is free to industry participants but space may be limited.
The workshop is also pitched towards businesses offering their services to multinationals and to government departments and who need coaching in how to respond to tenders.
Although this workshop is aimed towards Defence, the principles are equally applicable to other government departments and working with industry Primes.
The Facilitators are MajGen Jim Molan AO DSC, former Chief of Operations, Multi-National Force-Iraq; Mr. Colin Sharp AM CSC, former Head of Land Systems, DMO; Dr. Roger Lough AM, former Chief Defence Scientist, Department of Defence; and Mr. Paul Barratt AO, former Secretary of Defence.
The Workshop will be held at Arts Training Centre, Pier 4, The Wharf, Hickson Road, Walsh Bay, NSW. Date: Tuesday, 9th August, 2011; 9:00 am to 4.00 p.m.
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.
