After much anticipation the Defence Materiel Organisation has announced the release for industry comment of a draft request for tender for AIR5428 Pilot Training System (PTS) Phase 1.

The PTS system will provide platforms for flight screening and meet all phases of undergraduate pilot training from basic flying to entry into Air Force Lead-In Fighter and Operational Conversion Units.

The system is also responsible for the initial training of military QFIs to support the PTS and fixed-wing operational training.

The Industry Briefing is scheduled from 1330-1530 on Thursday January 24, 2013 at the RAAF Williams Auditorium, Tangmere Road, RAAF Williams, Laverton Victoria.

Companies/attendees wishing to attend the briefing session are requested to register by January 23, 2013.

Industry comment is sought by Close of Business, Friday 22 February 2013.

Only registered attendees will be admitted to the Industry Brief session.
