donaldsontoolbox.com.au, a primary cross-reference tool for the engine side of the Donaldson business, has been re-engineered as a web application with detailed technical product information.
All aftermarket product information is updated in real time so that it serves as a tailored global reference tool and obviates dependence on hard-copy material which may take several months to reach Australia.
The Donaldson Toolbox helps users to create product bulletins, make multiple part attribute searches, facilitate a multiple part search and provide an enhanced part detail display.
Donaldson Australasia's Product Manager & Data Analyst, Keith Leslie, who has overseen development of the site in the Asia Pacific region, says the Donaldson Toolbox is now far more dynamic and allows more economic management of point of sale marketing material and product comparisons.
"The online Toolbox has more features than its CD-based predecessors and will enhance the user experience and add value to the business of our clients and partners," Leslie said.
"For example, it will create product bulletins that people within a sales network can use to customise their own product/brochure material, plus it becomes a ready reference for technical staff."
The site will move towards having a customised and constantly evolving desktop value added service such as print on demand through to bulletins and product brochures.
The product will also remain CD deployable for cases where users have no access to the internet.
