Gabriele Schedl, director Safety Management at Frequentis, has recently received a prestigious distinction from the International System Safety Society (ISSS) when she took out the “Manager of the Year” title.
In order to secure the safety expertise required for customer projects, Frequentis founded its own competence centre for system safety management in 1995.
Schedl is the centre’s head, and has been the company’s leading lady on all safety management matters for many years.
The specialist safety know-how built up within Frequentis has given the company a decisive competitive advantage, and allowed it to build out its own safety consulting efforts.
Schedl’s activities find much international recognition.
In December 2011, the ISSS, an international non-profit organisation which connects and supports safety experts all over the world, elected her as “ISSS regional vice-president” for Europe and now ISSS has selected Schedl as “Manager of the Year”.
This is the first time the distinction was awarded to a non-American expert.
