The US Department of State has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to the Government of Kuwait for purchase of Patriot Missile Repair and Return services and related equipment. The estimated total cost is US $400 million (approx. A $574 million). 

Kuwait has requested to buy repair and return services for Patriot missiles; transportation; organisational equipment; repair parts; support equipment; tools and test equipment; technical data and publications; personnel training and training equipment; maintenance services; US Government and contractor engineering, technical, and logistics support services; and other related elements of logistics and program support. 

The principal contractors will be Lockheed Martin, located in Arlington, Virginia; RTX, located in Huntsville, Alabama; Leidos, located in Huntsville, Alabama; and KBR, located in Huntsville, Alabama.

Implementation of this proposed sale will require the assignment of five additional US contractor representatives to Kuwait for a duration of two years to provide handling and documentation support.
