Miro Technologies announced today a contract award
from the Sultanate of Oman Ministry of Defence (MOD) to implement an integrated
Joint Logistics Management Solution (JLMS) to manage supply, maintenance and
transport business functions across Oman MOD Services. The new tri-service
logistics programme, named Jadwal, will feature GOLDesp as the central
logistics application.
Miro Technologies is prime contractor for all implementation services,
including an extensive training programme, testing, data conversion and go-live
support. Miro will be working as an integrated team with the office of the
Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) and Ernst & Young to
deliver the JLMS solution. Miro will establish a programme office in Muscat to
support the project, adding to its presence in the Middle East region.
Commenting on the contract award, Vincent Monteparte, President & CEO of
Miro Technologies said, "We are proud to have been selected by the Oman
MOD for this crucial project. The selection process was a thorough and rigorous
examination of our solution and capabilities as a company."
Oman MOD, working with Ernst & Young, looked at all aspects of Miro’s applications, implementation procedures, and also visited reference customer sites during the evaluation process. "GOLDesp now stands as the number one logistics software package that can be implemented today as a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) project for use as a common solution across multiple military services for multiple asset types," he added.
