News Review: DTC successful in training bid | ADM Nov 2010
SA’s Defence Teaming Centre (DTC) has been successful in winning a significant aggregated bid on behalf of 30 of its member companies for 495 training places in the 2010 Productivity Places Program for Existing Workers allocation round.
This funding has been provided through the joint Commonwealth and Government of SA Productivity Places Program that provides a subsidy of up to 90 per cent for Vocational Education Training qualifications.
The program has allocated approximately $28 million of funding across the state in this round of applications, providing 18,490 training places to up-skill existing workers within the state.
The DTC’s successful bid represents partnerships with 18 Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) for the delivery of training places at Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma level qualifications across numerous skill areas related to both Defence and the wider economy.
