Aerobond has announced that the company's new manufacturing headquarters in Woodville, South Australia, are undergoing a fit-out process to meet growing demand in the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) sector.

Expected to be fully operational by July 2024, this expansion will create 35 local jobs.

Known for Advanced Composites, Sheet Metal, Aircraft Welding and Surface Finishing, Aerobond aims to strengthen its position with this strategic expansion.

Aerobond recently secured the sovereign production contract for Kongsberg Defence Australia’s Naval Strike Missile (NSM) Canisters – the first time these components have be produced outside of Europe.

Spanning approximately 3,400 square meters (36,600 square feet), the facility responds to increased global advanced manufacturing requirements, supporting Aerobond’s defence customer base.

The company stated that the expansion reflects Aerobond's dedication to growth and innovation in aviation, defence, and space, and that stakeholders can expect further updates on the expansion's progress and new opportunities in the future.
