AICRAFT has received a $100,000 grant from the South Australian Government to progress the development of a miniaturised Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) payload.
The project is being developed in partnership with Guerin Technologies of India as part of a project called Leoflect. It combines AICRAFT's miniature edge device with Guerin Technologies' server-processing capacity and a lightweight, ultra-compact, reflector array antenna.
“SAR data is critically important and can be used in applications such as agriculture, forestry, glacier monitoring, maritime surveillance and Defence intelligence," said AICRAFT’s CEO Dr Tony Scoleri.
“We are grateful to the South Australian Government for this funding support, which will make it possible for us to deliver world-class technology with rapid speed, bringing down the cost of, and access to, critically important SAR data."
