Australia will transfer 14 Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIB) to Ukraine as part of a $14 million military aid package.
The Australian Defence Force sea boats will help build the Armed Forces of Ukraine's littoral capabilities.
"Australia remains firmly committed to supporting Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression. This is in Australia’s interests, and is the right thing to do," said the Minister for Defence, Richard Marles.
“Ukraine has demonstrated its ability to thwart Russia’s continued attacks from the Black Sea. We are proud to contribute to these vital maritime defences with this new package.”
Defence has previously selected Tasmania's Sentinel Boats to deliver new-build Sentinel 830R RHIBs to Ukraine as part of an $100 million aid package announced in July.
"These boats will be used by the special operations units for various amphibious missions and assignments," Ukraine's Ambassador to Australia, Vasyl Myroshnychenko said at the time.
