Defence will acquire an undisclosed number of DAGOR tactical mobility vehicles from Polaris Australia for $22 million.

The contract includes vehicles, mission accessories, technical manuals, spare parts and tool kits, driver and maintainer training and ongoing support in Australia.

The vehicles will be delivered across three variants: a transport variant, an expeditionary reconnaissance variant, and a cargo variant. The base vehicles will be delivered to Polaris Australia's facility in Melbourne to be fitted with mission systems as well as local industry content.

DAGOR vehicles are air transportable inside C-17, C-130 and CH-47 aircraft. They are designed with a maximum payload weight of 1,814 kilograms and can export up to 4.4 kilowatts of power.

"We are proud to provide this capability for Australian personnel. The DAGOR all-terrain vehicle will allow teams to move faster, carry more and significantly reduce combat fatigue by navigating complex terrain otherwise covered on foot,” said Polaris Australia's Government and Defense sales and operation manager, Michael Cannell.

"Allied forces that also have the DAGOR platform include US forces, Canadian forces, and multiple European countries. DAGOR vehicle production is underway, and deliveries will take place over the next two years."
