Hanwha Defence Australia (HDA) has expanded its partnership with Dassault Systèmes through the adoption of the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform to support HDA's Australian Department of Defence contracts.

The platform has already been adopted across multiple areas from mechanical and electrical design to program management, configuration and change management.

Teams across multiple disciplines can seamlessly collaborate in a single digital environment and access the tools they need to simplify product development complexity.

“HDA have found the system to be a great support to deliver our major programs,” a HDA spokesperson said.

HDA was selected as the sole source supplier for LAND 8116 in 2021, a $1 billion project which will see the Commonwealth acquire self-propelled artillery and armoured ammunition resupply vehicles to be manufactured at the Avalon Airport precinct, Victoria.

This was followed by an announcement in 2023 that HDA was selected as a preferred tenderer to deliver 129 Redback IFVs as part of LAND 400 Phase 3.
