CEO of Hanwha Defence Australia and Europe/UK Ben Hudson will complete his time in this role on 26 May, 2026.
“My time working with the talented and dedicated Hanwha team in Australia and across our global operations has been very rewarding,” Hudson said.
“I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity to lead such an exceptional group of professionals and for everything we have achieved together. It has been an honour and a privilege.
Under Hudson’s leadership, the Australian business has reached several important milestones.
“I am very proud of the strong foundation we have built,” Hudson added.
“Seeing the first AS9 Huntsman Self Propelled Howitzer roll off the line at the Hanwha Armoured vehicle Centre of Excellence (H-ACE) alongside the opening of Stage 2 of that facility to prepare for the AS21 Redback Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) has been genuinely impressive. I have every confidence the talented Hanwha team will continue to thrive well into the future.”
An interim leader will be appointed to manage HDA in due course until a permanent person is selected and announced.
