Leidos Australia has been contracted by Lockheed Martin Australia to provide software development, cyber security and verification and validation services in support of the development of Project Air 6500.
Under the contract, Leidos Australia will provide support to the Joint Air Battle Management System enterprise in the domains of cyber security, modelling and simulation, and validation.
“Being part of the AIR6500 solution provides the potential for Leidos and Lockheed Martin Australia to work together to integrate intelligence and situational awareness information into the AIR6500 Joint Air Battle Management System from our JP2096 intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platform. This capability enables analysts to quickly search, collate and assimilate information from multiple databases, delivering more complete information in a reduced timeframe thereby enabling swifter, better informed, decision making," said Leidos Australia's Chief Executive Paul Chase.
"Having Leidos Australia integrated into the AIR6500 project builds trust and discipline into the agile software development process. It allows Leidos Australia to work directly with our engineers in real time to test and evaluate incrementally. This supports our engineers to continually progress and or resolve technical issues rapidly to achieve project milestones," said Lockheed Martin Australia and New Zealand Chief Executive Warren McDonald.
