Defence has renewed an in-service support contract with Solutions from Silicon (SfS) for an additional ten years.

The contract means that SfS will continue to support the Navy's Mine Warfare Tactical Command Software (MINTACS) through until 2034.

SfS' MINTACS is also in service with the UK, Sweden, New Zealand, and Thailand. It has also been integrated aboard Lativa's three Tripartite class minehunters by Exail, as part of a partnership that that saw Exail integrate MINTACS with its own UMISOFT mine warfare software package for Latvia.

The two companies recently agreed to continue that partnership, with a focus on further integrating MINTACS and UMISOFT.

“Through ongoing research and development, we are improving the integration of MINTACS with UMISOFT, ensuring that navies worldwide benefit from state-of-the-art MCM solutions,” said Exail’s MCM & DW Product Line Director, Daniel Scourzic.

“We are excited to work closely with Exail to deliver cutting-edge unmanned solutions,” said by SfS Technical Director, Russell Norman, during a visit to Exail's facility in Brest.
