New CEO of Lockheed Martin Australia/NZ, Steve 'Zed' Roberton, has resigned from the role six weeks after taking over from outgoing executive Warren McDonald.

Roberton commenced as Chief Executive on 4 December after a handover period, and reported to Lockheed Martin's Vice President International Business, Ray Piselli.

Roberton previously held senior roles in the RAAF, including Air Commander Australia and Head of Force design within VCDF Group.

"Steve ‘Zed’ Roberton has resigned from Lockheed Martin for personal reasons," a company spokesperson said.

"Effective 16 January 2025, Warren ‘Macca’ McDonald was named Chief Executive of Lockheed Martin Australia and New Zealand, returning to a role he previously held for over three years.

"Under Macca’s leadership, the company will continue delivering innovative defence capabilities for Australia and New Zealand, keeping our customers ahead of emerging threats in this critical region."
