Western Australian firm Radian Architecture has won a major Commonwealth contract to lead early-stage planning for future Defence sustainment infrastructure in the Northern Territory. This is an appointment which has marked a significant win for WA’s Indigenous business sector.
“This opportunity allows us to showcase our technical capability, honour our Indigenous roots and contribute meaningfully to the future needs of Australia’s Defence sector,” Radian spokesperson, Andy Boyatzis, said,
The 100 per cent Indigenous-owned company, part of Red Invest Capital Holdings (RICH), has impressed Defence evaluators to land the role, which will shape the scope and direction of a proposed Darwin Harbour Masterplan supporting long-term national security objectives.
“With AUKUS gathering momentum, we are proud to play a role in shaping the infrastructure required for Australia’s evolving defence posture," Boyatzis stated.
Radian will develop the strategic framework required to guide Defence’s future infrastructure needs in the Top End, ensuring facilities can support the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), Australian Border Force (ABF) and Australia’s AUKUS-driven capability uplift.
Radian Architecture is one of several specialist entities under the RICH banner, which also includes capabilities in green energy, engineering, construction, labour hire and national recruitment services.
