School of Information Operations (SOIO) and Grayline Sdn Bhd (Grayline) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Defence Services Asia (DSA) exhibition, reaffirming their commitment to collaborate on operationally focused training in Malaysia.

“Signing this MOU with Grayline at DSA is an important step in strengthening how we support Malaysian defence capability through practical, operationally relevant training,” SOIO, CEO, Glenn Murray, stated.

“By combining Grayline’s local presence and systems integration expertise with SOIO’s course design and delivery experience, we’re well positioned to help customers build the skills needed for modern multi-domain operations.”

The MOU will bring together Grayline’s systems integration, engineering and consulting capabilities in defence and security with SOIO’s experience in designing, developing and delivering multi-domain operational training.

“This partnership reflects Grayline’s commitment to delivering practical, mission-focused capability outcomes for our customers. Working with SOIO strengthens our ability to offer high-quality operational training as part of integrated defence solutions,” Grayline Sdn Bhd, Managing Director, Major General (Retired) Dato’ Rosman Ab. Rahman, said.

The parties will work together to identify opportunities to support the Malaysian Armed Forces with training aligned to contemporary operational concepts across domains including cyber and electromagnetic activities, information operations and electronic warfare.

Under the terms of the existing agreement, Grayline and SOIO will work exclusively with each other with respect to designing, developing and delivering operational training courses to the Malaysian Armed Forces.

SOIO will provide product and service information and indicative pricing to support Grayline’s bids where training forms part of a broader solution, and where a prime contract is awarded to Grayline, the parties intend to negotiate a mutually agreed subcontracting arrangement.

The MOU has also established a framework for protecting proprietary information shared between the parties.

SOIO is an Australian defence training organisation delivering operationally focused short courses across C5ISREW and multi-domain operations. Since launching its training portfolio in 2018, SOIO has delivered more than 200 courses to over 2,000 students, with training delivered across Australia and internationally, including Malaysia.
