Starmaster Space Education Centre has officially launched on 29 September, at the International Astronautical Congress 2025, Sydney.
“Our vision is to equip Australians with the specialised skills needed to lead ambitious space and deep-tech programs,” Founder of Starmaster, Bruce Carlos, said.
Starmaster has introduced its suite of over 25 microcredential programs designed to fast-track skills in space science, engineering, and deep-tech.
“Through microcredentials and flexible pathways, we are creating a scalable, future-ready workforce that is uniquely Australian in its capability," Carlos stated.
Starmaster has hopes to address the needs of the space industry and therefore strengthen sovereign capability while preparing talent for global collaboration.
Starmaster was developed in consultation with government, industry, and academia. The company is currently in the process of developing a platform that will connect students, career changers, and professionals directly to career opportunities in the national space economy.
Its programs, supported by the Space Career Pathway Model, are open to all, including those from STEM and non-STEM backgrounds, spanning the full spectrum of space science and engineering. According to the company, each course is industry-driven, designed around Australia’s real-time space requirements, and aligned with both current and planned national space programs.
Starmaster hopes to develop a system of education where it can accurately identify targeted skills and competencies that map directly to current space jobs, programs, and missions.
