Ocean Software has been selected by the Irish Defence Forces to deliver a new operational systems environment for the Irish Air Corps, supporting its ongoing modernisation and future capability requirements.
The program will replace the Irish Air Corps’ existing Aviation Maintenance Management System (AMMS), establishing the Ocean Platform as the integrated environment for managing flight operations, training, scheduling, personnel readiness and operational resources.
The Ocean Platform will bring together flying, qualifications and currencies, training management, airspace management, personnel and resource planning to provide greater visibility of readiness.
As part of the Ocean-led solution, aircraft maintenance, logistics and airworthiness management capability from ILIAS Solutions will be part of the environment. This brings aircraft and materiel readiness information together with Ocean’s operational, training and personnel data, providing a complete view of operational readiness.
The program will support the Irish Air Corps’ continued modernisation by providing a strong foundation for coordinating people, aircraft, training and resources as its capabilities and operational requirements evolve.
“We’re proud to support the Irish Defence Forces as it continues to invest in and modernise its operational capability,” said Pete Smith, CEO of Ocean Software. “There is a significant program of modernisation underway across the Irish Air Corps. It’s a privilege to be trusted to support them through this next chapter,” he also said.
“The Irish Air Corps is making significant investments in its future capability, and we’re pleased to support Ocean in delivering this important program,” said Harald Kokelkoren, CEO of ILIAS Solutions. “Our role will be to deliver value to the
Irish Air Corps bringing its maintenance, logistics and airworthiness information into a connected environment, supporting its people as they manage a growing and modernising fleet.”
“The Irish Air Corps is undertaking a significant period of modernisation as we invest in the capabilities, aircraft and systems required to meet our future operational needs,” said General Officer Commanding (GOC) The Air Corps - Brigadier General Rory O'Connor.
“This program will provide a more integrated approach to managing our flying operations, training, personnel and aircraft readiness, giving our people better information to support planning and decision-making as the Irish Air Corps continues to evolve,” he also said.
The implementation builds on Ocean Software’s established partnership with ILIAS Solutions. Together, the technologies bring Ocean’s more than 30 years of experience in defence flight operations, training and resource management together with specialist aircraft maintenance, logistics, fleet management and airworthiness capability from ILIAS.
