The D4190 can be used in conjunction with a hand-held shaker for sensor validation.
The D4190 converts the vibration signal from a 10 mV/g or 100 mV/g IEPE accelerometer to the peak value of the vibration signals generated by the sensors.
The RMS value of the peak can be easily derived.
The D4190 has a built-in power supply that provides 2 mA of current at +18 VDC, able to power either the 10 mV/g or 100 mV/g IEPE accelerometer and two rotary switches which allow the user to select either of the accelerometer input or to select a full scale range of 2g, 20g and 50g.
There is a large digital front panel display, a bias test switch to verify proper accelerometer operation and an output jack for monitoring the output signal of the accelerometer with an oscilloscope or analyser.
Weighing in at just 320 grams, measuring 135 x 84 x 57 mm and with two replaceable 9V batteries providing up to 10 hours of continuous operation, the Dytran D4190 is well suited to field or bench vibration measurements.
