The SADI program has received overwhelming support during the 2009/10 financial year and has been inundated with new applications.

To date the SADI Program has received so many applications that the program funds are fully committed for the 2009/10 financial year.

DMO's Industry Division has advised that no further applications for SADI Support for the 09/10 financial year will be accepted.

"Looking forward to the 2010-11 financial year funding appropriation, the SADI program is developing new program guidelines, application form and reporting structures to further refine and streamline the administration process," Robyn Wall, director of industry skilling, said in a letter to stakeholders.

"SADI will move to a rounds-based application process which will open twice a year.

"The current plan is to open the program for applications in early April for contract execution in late June and training to commence from July.

"All potential applicants are encouraged to undertake long-term planning for training activities over a full financial year or in training semesters from July - December and January - June.

"This will allow multiple training activities in one application rather than multiple applications and contracts."

There is no mention of future funding...
