DEWC Services has been awarded the Defence Teaming Centre’s (DTC) 2023 Skilling Award at the Defence Industry Dinner and Awards Ceremony in Adelaide.

Recognising the challenges faced by Australia’s defence industry regarding workforce size and availability, DEWC Services designed and implemented programs resulting in over 20 university graduates receiving targeted training aligned with the requirements of the Australian Defence Force.

Over 600 guests from around Australia attended the annual gala, the largest South Australian defence industry awards night, to celebrate businesses that have made a significant contribution to the defence sector.

“We were impressed by the high calibre of applications, and on behalf of the DTC I would like to congratulate this year’s winners and thank all finalists and nominees who entered this year. This is the first year we have had a Skilling Award, and it is great to see so many companies investing in their people and implementing programs to address the workforce challenges," said Libby Day, DTC CEO.

“The DTC Awards are all about celebrating the incredible business talents we have in the defence industry, and we are proud to be able to recognise these talents in front of our members, government and Defence officials and the wider defence community."

"Every company that submitted a nomination has made a positive contribution to the sector. As we celebrate the award winners lets also recognise the impact our award finalists and nominees have had on building our countries reputation as a reputable supplier of products and services.”
