In this episode, Grant McHerron talks to Katherine Ziesing, the Managing Editor of ADM. We discuss ADM's history, it's coverage and audience, along with Kath's involvement with the magazine. We also cover the various events ADM organises and our goals for this podcast.

For many of us, one of the primary events in our calendar is the ADM Congress, held in February each year with the 17th event being held in 2020. Kath tells us how it started and has evolved to its current status. We also hear from Gary Stewart, the CEO of Vehicles Systems Asia Pacific at Rheinmetall, as he gives his views on the importance and benefit of ADM Congress.

Following Gary's comments, we raise the topic of Australian Industry Capability (AIC) and hear some comments from Kath and Gary on the topic.

To wrap it all up, we discuss the major projects going on for Army and Navy now that the majority of Air Force's new platforms have been delivered. For Navy particularly, this will be a multi-generational transformation over decades and the impacts of COVID-19 on funding have yet to be felt.
