South Australian-based electronic warfare leader DEWC Services has today announced its expansion into Canberra, further reinforcing its commitment to supporting the nation’s defence capabilities.

The company has officially opened a program support office in the nation’s capital to assist in the delivery of next generation intelligence, survivability and mission data capabilities on existing and future programs for the Australian Defence Force.

The company’s Canberra office will bring together a diverse team of experienced technicians, data scientists, engineers and Defence Veterans, with plans to significantly grow the workforce in the future.

DEWC Services CEO Allan Dundas said establishing a base in Canberra was a logical decision given its close proximity to key Defence decision makers, enabling DEWC Services to work closely with Defence and the Federal Government, and continue to strengthen collaborative relationships.

“Canberra is the centre point for most, if not all, key national security and Defence decisions. Having a base in Canberra gives us closer access and responsive connection to many of our clients, including key Defence exporters and decision makers,” Dundas said.

“It will enable us to be better connected so our remote workforce has a team on the ground in Canberra to leverage and coordinate with more effectively.

“We anticipate our presence in Canberra will grow over the next 18 months as we embark on a fairly significant recruitment campaign targeting talent, from a range of technical backgrounds and expertise, who complement our business and culture.

“We are looking forward to working more closely with Defence as a trusted partner tasked to deliver on increasingly larger programs in challenging areas like Electronic Warfare, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) and cyber, where there is a growing need to build capability and solve problems.”

The announcement reaffirms DEWC Service’s vision to grow and scale-up, with the company’s Adelaide headquarters at Technology Park now home to more than 80 highly-skilled employees.

The office will allow DEWC Services to grow the depth and breadth of its critical expertise to provide the ADF with game-changing electronic warfare, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capability support.

Over the past 10 years, DEWC Services has built a reputation of trust, expertise and professionalism, delivering specialist capabilities for a range of programs, such as the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, Joint EW sub-program, Army Counter IED, Airborne Countermeasures Development and Validation, and the Naval MH-60R helicopter.
