The SIA will hold the SubSTEC8 Conference, from 21–23 September, The conference will bring together senior representatives from defence, industry, academia and government to examine the theme “Pillar 1 through a Pillar 2 Lens – Advanced AUKUS Capabilities and the Submarine Deterrent.” The program will explore the integration of advanced technologies and capabilities developed under Pillar 2, and their role in strengthening and enabling Australia’s nuclear-powered submarine program under Pillar 1. SubSTEC8 offers a platform for informed debate, collaboration and the exchange of ideas shaping the future of Australia’s submarine capability
