Systems Engineering Courses

Join edVirtus as we present Dr Ian Faulconbridge & Dr Mike Ryan for the 3-Day Systems Engineering Introduction Course and the comprehensive 5-Day Systems Engineering Advanced Course. These very successful nested courses have been delivered for over 20 years and provide attendees with an extensive understanding of the discipline of systems engineering including the associated processes, tools, and management practices. They place systems engineering principles in the context of the other related disciplines involved in the delivery of technical projects and the system life cycle. The final 2-Day Advanced option follows with a practicum, providing attendees with the opportunity to reinforce the material covered in the introductory course. It offers further detail on the early stages of the system life cycle, particularly Conceptual Design. The practicum then takes attendees through several design exercises that illustrate the application of systems engineering processes in a variety of contexts without assuming any prior knowledge of any specific development domain. The exercises provide the opportunity to practise, discuss and reflect on systems engineering in the early life cycle. Attendees receive a copy of the presenter’s book Applied Systems Engineering. This course is delivered in virtual mode with live presenters engaging with students. Registration portals are active now.
