Systems Engineering - Introduction & Advanced Course

edVirtus presents Dr Ian Faulconbridge and Dr Mike Ryan for up to 5 days of Systems Engineering in March. Commencing with Systems Engineering—Introduction over 3 days, this course provides attendees with an understanding of the discipline of systems engineering including the associated processes, tools, and management practices. The course places systems engineering principles in the context of the other related disciplines involved in the delivery of technical projects and the system life cycle. Then follow on with a two-day practicum that provides attendees with the opportunity to reinforce and the material covered. Systems Engineering—Advanced provides further detail on the early stages of the system life cycle, particularly Conceptual Design. The practicum then takes attendees through a number of design exercises that illustrate the application of systems engineering processes in a variety of contexts without assuming any prior knowledge of any particular development domain. The exercises provide the opportunity to practice, discuss and reflect on systems engineering in the early life cycle. Attendees receive a copy of the presenter’s book Applied Systems Engineering.
